Abstract

There are risks of frequency and voltage security and stability due to the ongoing replacement of conventional synchronous power plants by intermittent generation and DC transmission. Prompt and effective emergency regulation after faults can prevent blackouts. An online pre-decision method for emergency regulation of frequency and voltage security and stability is proposed to avoid the risks caused by the insufficiency of offline-made accident plan. The decision-making model of frequency and voltage control aiming at the minimum cost of comprehensive control is constructed. The verification schemes are generated by enumerating measures and screened by the control quantity estimation. The pre-decision strategy considering frequency and voltage problems is carried out by iterative search. After the actual fault occurs, effective regulation action is determined according to the fault and the problem. The effectiveness of this method is verified by an example of a real power grid.
