Abstract

A Multi-Spectral Surveillance Sight (MSS) has been developed based on multi-spectral sensor system, featuring a SWIR-MWIR observation channel using SCD's SNIR (Langof et al. in Advanced multi-function infrared detector with on-chip processing, in Proceedings of SPIE, Infrared Technology and Applications XXXVII Conference, pp 80120F-80120F-13, 2011 [1]) detector, broadband optics along with color day camera, Eye safe Laser Range Finder (ELRF), filter wheel and common sensor interface and image processing electronics. MSS was designed as a battery operated, light weight tripod mounted system having a recognition range of 3.5 km providing day and night surveillance with emphasis on easy to use combined system, with special laser see spot capability.
