Abstract

Recent development in the field of Bragg fibers has enhanced its application in various field. Proposing different structural construction methods of Bragg fibers achieved greater interest as it increases the performance without any additional complexity. The study of various structural construction of Bragg Fiber by performing modal analysis using COMSOL is proposed in this paper. The analysis is done based on the fundamental mode obtained for the particular structural construction and loss factor is calculated based on effective mode index in dB/km.
