Abstract

Asymmetric soft palate is a condition in which there is gross discrepancy in the length of the soft palate on both sides. It is one of the rarest deformities of the cleft palate. Management is by lengthening of the short segment and then dissection and retropositioning of the levators. Oral layer is then closed starting from uvula and then proceeding anteriorly.
