Abstract
The crystalline bovine insulin was synthesized successfully in China which not only opened a new era of artificially synthesized proteins but also played a positive role in promoting China’s subsequent research on artificial macromolecules such as yeast alanine transfer ribonucleic acid. It also proved that China can well compete the western developed countries in the scientific research field. All of these have greatly enhanced our national pride.
