Abstract

“Trade facilitation” plays a very important role in trade and investment among countries. Due to the differences in infrastructure port construction, policy system, customs, e-commerce environment, etc., the goods have caused great obstacles in cross-border circulation and affected the development of trade among countries. As a major exporter of commodities, China’s degree of trade facilitation will undoubtedly have a certain degree of impact on it. This paper attempts to study the impact of “trade facilitation” on China’s textile and apparel exports in this context. In this paper, 36 major textile and apparel products exporting countries or regions were selected. Firstly, 13 secondary indicators and four first-level indicators were selected for the measurement of “trade facilitation” level and then used the gravity model to empirically analyze the problem. The theoretical and empirical results show that the level of trade facilitation plays a role in promoting the export of China’s textiles and clothing.
