Abstract
This chapter reported some research works on reduction robot done by the Beijing Jishuitan Hospital. The main works include the designing for the structure of a reduction robot, the study on robot-assisted traction, the registration and tracking algorithm, and the master–slave operation method of the robot. This chapter will also mention the problems and disputes of robotic-assisted fracture reduction, which are the balance of the flexibility and the payload for a reduction robot, the lack of clinical reduction parameter, and the lack of a simulation system for robot testing before clinical application. Due to these problems, the fracture reduction robot will not be accepted by the orthopedist. We believe that the development of reduction robot in the future will be based on the answers to those questions.
