Abstract

This paper studies the dynamic Web service selection methods and simulates it with the same dataset to show the performance of each method. Quality of service (QoS) in Web services composition has various non-functional issues such as performance, dependability, and others. As more and more Web services become available, QoS capability is becoming a crucial factor in selecting the services. We observe the performance of each method and also the recommended hybrid methods by the selected authors. As a result of observation, we have proposed a new hybrid method which can produce better performance (better processing time) in Web service selection. The new approach is proposed based on particle swarm optimization.
