Practical Radiation Oncology

Abstract

The evaluation of a radiation plan is an essential task for the radiation oncologist, which has become more complex due to intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). Multiple factors must be evaluated before approval of final IMRT plan. This chapter describes the practical approach to IMRT treatment planning and evaluation from a radiation oncologist’s perspective.
