Abstract
The effect of displacement speed on oil recovery is one of the most concerned issues in the design of oil field development project. But the relationship between water injection speed and enhanced oil recovery has not been unified, and the conclusions also lacked in-depth systematic analysis. Waterflooding experiments are conducted on 30-cm-long homogeneous cores using different waterflooding speeds, demonstrating that the oil displacement efficiency decreases with the increase in waterflooding speed, and it is particularly evident at high waterflooding speeds. The higher the waterflooding speed, the smaller the PV value of the water-coming time, the lower the oil displacement efficiency in the water-free period, and the lower final oil displacement efficiency.
