Abstract

There are a wide range of neuroimaging findings in central nervous system (CNS) infections, often with considerable overlap, which makes determination of a specific diagnosis difficult. Correlation with laboratory tests, particularly cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis, is considered to be essential in establishing a definitive diagnosis.
