HIV/AIDS in China

Part of the book series: Public Health in China ((PUBHECH,volume 1))

Abstract

As we have seen throughout this book, the HIV epidemic in China developed in ways that were neither simple nor predictable. The virus has spread differently in different parts of this vast country. The groups most affected have changed over time, too, not only because successful prevention programmes are now in place for some groups but also because of the radical social change which China has undergone over the course of the epidemic.
