Abstract

The concern about information overload predicted by Postman is that in the information society that exists in the 21st century, humans are left without agency against a barrage of relentless information. Postman’s arguments, positioned alongside the technological dystopian literature of Orwell, Huxley, and Forster, provide lessons applicable to educational technology practice.
