Abstract
This introductory chapter primarily gives a short presentation of all individual contributions to this volume. In addition, it argues that the aim of the volume is to expand the current field of Heideggerian scholarship by displaying new and exciting vistas that will ferry it into the twenty-first century. The chapter also claims that this inter-disciplinary volume stands at a peculiar crossroad in which Heidegger’s ontological thinking is gathered together from many different positions while is, at the same time, dispersed in many other unanticipated directions. Finally, this chapter suggests that the volume critically engages Heidegger’s philosophy by preparing the Heidegger of past to presently become the Heidegger of the future.
