Abstract

The course of Physical Oceanography is the important curriculum generally designed in the ocean universities or colleges to cultivate the practical professionals embarking on a career in the marine sciences. This course mainly introduces the physical processes and the dynamic mechanisms happening in the ocean. Based on the course content and feature, also in conjunction with our teaching experience, we suggest that the class teaching should regard both theory and practice as equally important, and both the teacher and students jointly construct the subject of this course. What is more, only the learning interests are initiated by means of various teaching skills or methods would the students be able to think and consult independently. It is very important for students to better understand and master the knowledge of this course.
