Zusammenfassung

Die klinische, laborchemische und bildgebende Diagnostik des akuten Abdomens konnte in den vergangenen Jahren deutlich optimiert werden. Trotz all dieser Fortschritte bleibt die Diagnose des akuten Abdomens jedoch bei ca. 25% der Patienten unklar, und in manchen Fällen kann das frühzeitige Reagieren auf eine Diagnose, die für eine chirurgische Behandlung spricht, versäumt werden. Daher sind invasive diagnostische Verfahren bei selektierten Patienten auch heute noch eine unverzichtbare Option in der frühzeitigen Diagnosesicherung. Invasive diagnostische Verfahren bei akutem Abdomen sind Laparoskopie, Punktionsdiagnostik und Peritoneallavage.
