Abstract
In this chapter, you will learn how ultrasound waves are generated for use in sonography and how sonographic examinations can be technically controlled. In addition, you will learn about areas of application, possibilities and limitations of this procedure and in which cases it can be used as a radiation-free alternative examination in imaging diagnostics.
