Die Korrelation „r“ drückt aus, wie stark zwei Variablen miteinander in Verbindung stehen. Dabei gelten Korrelationen um 0,10 als klein, um 0,30 als mittel und über 0,50 als groß (Cohen 1988). Korrelationen geben jedoch keine Ursache-Wirkungs-Beziehung (Kausalität) an.
