Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wurden verschiedene Konzepte zur strukturierten Kommunikation, Fehlervermeidung, Entscheidungsfindung und Aufgabenverteilung im Team vorgestellt. Als medizinischen Standards sollte man sich vor dem ersten Dienst mit den etablierten Kommunikationsstandards vertraut machen. Nicht jede Maßnahme wird für jede Situation und jeden Arbeitsbereich geeignet und umsetzbar sein. Jedoch werden die Fehlerwahrscheinlichkeit und damit die Gefährdung für Patienten und Mitarbeiter durch Behandlungsfehler sinken, je mehr Sicherheitsbarrieren implementiert werden. Anerkannten Prinzipien und Techniken, die innerhalb weniger Sekunden durchgeführt werden können, sollten genutzt werden. Dadurch kann erheblich zur Reduktion von Fehlern und zur Erhöhung der Sicherheit für die Patienten beigetragen werden.
