Zusammenfassung
Die Freude über Dr. Nevio’s Erfolg in der Facharztprüfung war in der Abteilung noch größer gewesen als bei ihm selbst. Die entsprechende Dienstgruppe war sehr ausgedünnt und sein Aufstieg war bereits im Vorfeld im neuen Dienstplan eingepflegt worden. „Heute verlierst du deine Unschuld“, waren die letzten Worte der Kollegen, als diese um 16 Uhr den OP-Trakt verließen. Mit von der Partie im Dienst war die junge Assistenzärztin Frau Dr. Desirée. Gemeinsam beendeten sie das elektive Tagesprogramm, dann warteten dringliche und Notfalleingriffe auf sie. Ob der Hintergrunddienst OA Dr. Volkrad noch im Hause war, wusste Dr. Nevio nicht so genau, aber bisher hatte er auch noch keine Hilfe benötigt. – In diesem Fall geht es um Paravasate, schwierigen Atemweg, Anästhesie bei Carotisoperationen und Medical Emergency Teams.

Der aufmerksame Leser hat vielleicht bemerkt, dass die Namensgeber kein sinnvolles Wort gefunden haben, dass mit „I“ beginnt – eigentlich müsste es SAPPHRE-Kriterien heißen… In der Weihnachtsausgabe des British Medical Journals erschien im Jahr 2014 ein lesenswerter Artikel über die (verzweifelte, aber – um zitiert zu werden – durchaus sinnvolle) Suche nach griffigen Akronymen randomisierter Studien [21]. Der Artikel ist frei zugänglich, sein Titel selbsterklärend:
