Zusammenfassung

Unter dem benignen Prostatasyndrom (BPS) versteht man die subjektiven Beschwerden und objektiven Veränderungen, die entstehen, wenn die Blasenentleerung durch die Prostata behindert wird. Es kann sich durch obstruktive Symptome, wie verzögerten Miktionsbeginn, schwachen Harnstrahl, Nachträufeln, unvollständige Entleerung bis hin zum akuten Harnverhalt, sowie durch irritative Symptome, wie Pollakisurie, imperativen Harndrang bis hin zur Dranginkontinenz und Nykturie, zeigen. Sowohl Harnspeicher- als auch Entleerungsstörungen können dabei auf eine Fehlfunktion des Detrusors oder des Blasenauslasses zurückzuführen sein. Als Mischformen kommen detrusor- und auslassbedingte Störungen von Speicher- und Entleerungsfunktion in allen denkbaren Kombinationen vor (Gravas et al. 2021; Oelke et al. 2008; Oh et al. 2011). Störungen bei der Harnspeicherung lassen sich mit der Messung des Detrusordruckes in der Füllphase (Zystomanometrie) und Störungen bei der Blasenentleerung mit der Messung des Detrusordruckes und des Harnstrahls während der Entleerungsphase (Druckflussmessung) diagnostizieren.
