Ein ungewollter oder unklarer Gewichtsverlust ist ein sehr häufiges Krankheitsbild in Rettungsstelle, Sprechstunde oder auf Station. Der Gewichtsverlust ist häufig Begleitsymptom eines bereits bekannten Grundleidens; er kann auch isoliert auftreten und ist auf verschiedenste Ursachen zurückzuführen.
