Prävention von Sportverletzungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter

Zusammenfassung

Sport im Kindes- und Jugendalter zeigt neben vielen positiven Effekten auf physischer, psychischer und sozialer Ebene auch negative Folgen wie Sportverletzungen, wobei eine deutliche Zunahme an akuten und Überlastungsschäden mit zum Teil gravierenden Langzeitauswirkungen auf das spätere Leben besteht. Zur Reduktion des Verletzungsrisikos werden diverse Präventionsmaßnahmen wie spezielle Übungsprogramme, eine altersgerechte Trainings- und Wettkampfbelastung, Schutzausrüstungen, sportmedizinische Vorsorgeuntersuchungen und Wettkampfbetreuung sowie Regeländerungen angewendet. Um deren positive Auswirkungen mit Reduzierung der Verletzungszahlen von 30 bis 80 % zu ermöglichen, sind ein früher Beginn und eine gute Implementierung auf Vereins-, Verbands- und Schulsportebene notwendig.

Dabei sollen alle im Sport betreuenden Personen und Strukturen von dem erwiesenen Nutzen der frühen Anwendung von Präventionsübungen auf die Gesundheit und Leistungsfähigkeit im Kinder- und Jugendsport überzeugt werden und die sportmedizinische Wissenschaft ihre Schwerpunkte noch ausführlicher auf deren Evidenz legen.
