Dies mag zunächst im Widerspruch zu Tab. 2.1 stehen, wo ein starker Produktionsrückgang für die Möbelindustrie dokumentiert wird. Die erhöhte Nachfrage wurde zunächst über volle Lagerbestände sowohl bei den Händlern als auch bei den Herstellern bedient. Mit Blick auf die hohe Unsicherheit und die Sorge über ein Strohfeuer bei der Nachfrage hielten sich die Möbelfirmen bei der Produktion zurück.

Nach den §§ 95 ff. SGB II besteht erst dann Anspruch auf Kurzarbeitergeld, wenn mindestens ein Drittel der Beschäftigten von einem Entgeltausfall betroffen sind; dies wurde im Zuge der Covid-19 Pandemie ausgeweitet.

Nach Stand 03.03.2021 erstreckten sich die endgültigen detaillierten Daten bis August 2020. Die darauffolgenden Werte entsprechen den Hochrechnungen der realisierten Kurzarbeit auf Basis der Daten von Abrechnungslisten.
