Zusammenfassung

Die muskuläre Dysfunktion ist eine der relevantesten Komorbiditäten bei COPD und anderen Lungenerkrankungen und hat starken Einfluss auf den Lebensalltag, die Lebensqualität und die Prognose des Patienten. Körperliches Training ist die beste, leitliniengerechte Behandlungsmöglichkeit der muskulären Dysfunktion und stellt eine tragende Säule der ganzheitlichen pneumologischen Behandlung dar. Ein strukturiertes, individuell geplantes Krafttraining kann sicher durchgeführt werden. Dabei müssen alle Trainingsvariablen sorgfältig auf die Bedürfnisse, das Krankheitsbild und Komorbiditäten des Patienten abgestimmt sein. Bei effektivem Training mit Erreichen einer momentanen Muskelermüdung ist mit einem Kraftzuwachs zu rechnen, welcher die Prognose des Patienten verbessert und den Alltag erleichtert.
