Zusammenfassung

Die Adipositas ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen körperlichen und psychischen Gesundheitsstörungen mit dem gesellschaftlich wohl am meisten akzeptierten Stigma belegt. Dieses Stigma, z. B. der Schuld am Übergewicht, kann bis zu tatsächlicher Diskriminierung in einer Vielzahl von Lebensbereichen führen.
