Zusammenfassung

Die Phonetik und Phonologie des Italienischen weist im Sprachvergleich interessante typologische Besonderheiten wie die Langkonsonanten und damit zusammenhängende Prozesse wie die Anlautverdoppelung auf. Zudem zeigt das Italienische in sprachräumlicher Hinsicht auch lautlich eine sehr ausgeprägte Variation. So ist der Normalfall italienischer Aussprache einerseits eine regionale Färbung und gilt andererseits eine ‚herkunftsreine‘, akzentfreie Lautung als markierte Ausnahme. Das Kapitel geht von den segmentalen Merkmalen (vokalische, konsonantische Laute) des Lautsystems über typische phonologische Prozesse zu den prosodischen Einheiten. Hier ist etwa der mobile, schwer vorhersagbare Wortakzent von Interesse. Der einführende, jedoch detaillierte Überblick zum gesamten italienischen Lautsystem wird durch Hinweise zur aktuellen Forschungsliteratur flankiert.
