Zusammenfassung
Elektrophysiologische Untersuchungen, Elektromyografie und Elektroneurografie, sind wesentliche Bestandteile der Untersuchung von Patienten mit peripheren Nervenläsionen. Sie dienen der Lokalisation der Schädigung, der Bestimmung des Alters, ermöglichen Aussagen zur Art der Läsion und damit zur Prognose. Auch für die Indikationsstellung operativer Verfahren sind sie – oft auch in Kombination mit der Bildgebung – weiterhin hilfreich. Dazu sind Kenntnisse über die Veränderung der neurophysiologischen Befunde in der zeitlichen Abfolge bei Nervenschädigungen unverzichtbar.
