Zusammenfassung

Wenn eine Nervenrekonstruktion nicht mehr möglich ist, existieren zahlreiche Operationstechniken, um vor allem die motorischen, aber auch die sensiblen ausgefallenen Funktionen zu rekonstruieren. Schwerpunktmäßig für die obere Extremität, aber auch für die untere Extremität werden Sehnentransfers, gestielte und freie funktionelle Muskeltransfers vorgestellt. Dabei werden zunächst ausführlich die Grundlagen, Prinzipien und Voraussetzungen beschrieben, um die nachfolgend dargelegten Behandlungsstrategien klar und nachvollziehbar zu machen. Das Kapitel ist eine wertvolle Anleitung sowohl für orthopädisch/unfallchirurgische, hand-/plastisch-chirurgische als auch neurochirurgische Kollegen zu jedem Behandlungszeitpunkt nach peripheren Nervenverletzungen.
