Zusammenfassung
Mit gruppentherapeutischen Zugängen können mehr Menschen schneller versorgt werden. Darüber hinaus nutzt die Gruppentherapie bei ihrem psychotherapeutischen Auftrag spezifische Möglichkeiten sozialen Lernens. Die Novelle der Psychotherapierichtlinien aus dem Jahr 2017 erleichtert deshalb ausdrücklich die Nutzung gruppenpsychotherapeutischer Settings. Diese verfügen über vielfältige Anwendungsperspektiven und gute empirische Bewährung, auch wenn es sich um ein unterproportional erforschtes Gebiet der Klinischen Psychologie handelt. Neben einer Übersicht zu den gruppentherapeutischen Interventionen sensibilisiert das Kapitel deshalb auch hinsichtlich offener wissenschaftlicher Fragen der Indikation, Gruppenzusammenstellung, Wirksamkeit und Wirkprinzipien.
