Zusammenfassung
Grundlegende Wirkungsprinzipien der Hilfsmittelversorgung und Orthetik sind der Ausgleich einer funktionellen Beeinträchtigung und damit Verbesserung der Teilhabe sowie die damit eng verbundene „Normalisierung“ der Statik und Motorik des Bewegungssystems. In jedem Lebensalter sollen die bei neuromotorischen Erkrankungen aufgrund verschiedener Lähmungsformen mit Muskelschwächen und Kompensationsmechanismen auftretenden pathologischen Kräfte an Gelenken korrigiert werden. Im Wachstumsalter wird damit zusätzlich die Formentwicklung der Bewegungsorgane gelenkt und der Entstehung von Fehlformen vorgebeugt.
Im ersten Teil des Kapitels werden grundlegende Wirkprinzipien der Orthesenversorgung beschrieben, im zweiten Teil werden überblicksweise und systematisch die wichtigsten Möglichkeiten der Orthetik, Senso-Orthetik und Hilfsmittelversorgung bei Menschen mit neuroorthopädischen Erkrankungen dargestellt.
