Abstract
Osgood-Schlatter disease is a common cause of anterior knee pain in adolescents who partake in regular sports activities. Even though the disease is known to be self-limiting and most often resolved with skeletal maturity, long-term outcomes have not always been favorable. If conservative treatment fails and persisting knee pain hinders the athlete to return to their level of activity, surgical treatment may become necessary to alleviate symptoms. Several surgical options are reported in the literature, and their operative techniques and outcomes are discussed here.
