Zusammenfassung
Die Stahl- und die Zementindustrie sowie Kraftwerke und chemische Industrie emittieren große Volumen CO2 aus fossilen Kohlenstoffquellen, biotechnologische Verfahren setzen biobasiertes CO2 frei und auch die Tierzucht ist mit der Emission von Treibhausgasen verbunden. Das vorliegende Kapitel geht auf die Nutzung dieser Gasströme durch stoffliche Verwertung zu Chemieprodukten ein. Diskutiert werden auch das zukünftige Potential derartiger CO2 -Gasströme als industrieller Kohlenstoffquelle sowie weiterer Ansätze, die zur Reduktion der CO2-Emissionen führen sollen.
