Zusammenfassung
Schädigungen des Nervensystems auf spinaler Ebene führen typischerweise zu komplexen motorischen, sensiblen und autonomen Ausfällen. Abhängig von der Schädigungshöhe ist die Mobilität mehr oder weniger eingeschränkt. Läsionen auf zervikaler Ebene führen zusätzlich zu Einschränkungen im Bereich der oberen Extremität. Bei zahlreichen Erkrankungen ist das zentrale Nervensystem ebenfalls an dem pathologischen Prozess beteiligt. Auf orthopädischem Fachgebiet entwickeln sich typischerweise Kontrakturen, sekundäre Deformitäten – insbesondere der Füße –, Gelenkluxationen sowie Wirbelsäulendeformitäten. Nicht gehfähige Patienten sind aufgrund der Inaktivitätsosteoporose frakturgefährdet. Bei Störung der Sensibilität sind Druckulzera insbesondere an den Füßen ein häufiges Problem. Die Behandlung ist komplex und erfordert ein interdisziplinäres Team. Eine Vertikalisierung ist in jedem Fall unbedingt anzustreben.
