Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel behandelt Mikroprozessoren, Signalprozessoren und programmierbare Logikbausteine (FPGAs) im Hinblick auf deren Einsatz für die digitale Audio-Signalverarbeitung. Zahlenformate und die daraus resultierende Systemdynamik und Signal-Rauschabstände werden erläutert, insbesondere bei Filterung und Summierung. Des Weiteren werden verschiedene Systemarchitekturen in Bezug auf Datenflüsse, Kommunikation, Multiprocessing und Synchronisation beschrieben.
