Zusammenfassung

Akute und chronische respiratorische Krankheiten treten im Kindesalter häufig auf. Zu den spezifischen Symptomen zählen Dyspnoe, Husten, Stridor, Pfeifen und Giemen, Zyanose, Hämoptoe und Thoraxschmerz. Eine ausführliche Anamnese mit dem kindlichen oder jugendlichen Patienten sowie dessen Begleitpersonen hilft den zeitlichen Verlauf und den Schweregrad der genannten Symptome zu charakterisieren. Mittels klinischer Untersuchungstechniken (Inspektion, Palpation, Auskultation und Perkussion) kann in vielen Fällen auch ohne aufwendige und belastende oder teure Methoden die richtige Diagnose gestellt werden.
