Zusammenfassung

Bei der Technik der intraaortalen Gegenpulsation (IABP) handelt es sich um die einfachste invasive Form der mechanischen Kreislaufunterstützung (MKU). Eine IABP ist in nahezu allen kardiologischen und kardiochirurgischen Kliniken verfügbar, sie ist schnell bettseitig einsetzbar, effektiv, verhältnismäßig kostengünstig und ein komplikationsarmes Verfahren.
