Zusammenfassung

Die Varikose ist eine lebenslange, jedoch keine lebensentscheidende Erkrankung, gleichwohl ist sie gekennzeichnet durch die drohende Entwicklung einer Vielzahl an z. T. eingreifenden und belastenden Möglichkeiten von Komplikationen, von der oberflächlichen Venenthrombose und dem Bezug zur TVT sowie verschieden Formen der Phlebitis auf der einen Seite und den Begleitumständen der anhaltenden chronisch venösen Insuffizienz mit peripheren Ödemen und sekundären Umbauvorgängen in den abhängigen Gewebepartien bis hin zum Ulcus cruris auf der anderen Seite.
