Zusammenfassung
Nur etwa ein Fünftel der Kinder und Jugendlichen, die ein traumatisches Ereignis erleiden, entwickelt nachfolgend eine Posttraumatische Belastungsstörung. Diese umfasst Symptome des Wiedererlebens (Flashbacks und Albträume), der kognitiven und behavioralen Vermeidung sowie der vegetativen Übererregung (Hypervigilanz und Schreckhaftigkeit). Die Traumafokussierte Kognitive Verhaltenstherapie gilt als evidenzbasiertes Verfahren. Im Zentrum der Behandlung stehen Exposition und kognitive Umstrukturierung. Die Exposition in sensu wirkt der kognitiven, die Exposition in vivo der behavioralen Vermeidung entgegen. Kognitive Interventionen zielen darauf ab, durch das traumatische Ereignis induzierte Überzeugungen (z.B.: „Ich bin schuld.“) zu hinterfragen. Darüber hinaus erfolgen familienbezogene Interventionen, um eine positive Unterstützung des Kindes zu fördern und problematische Familienreaktionen zu reduzieren, sowie Maßnahmen zum Schutz vor Reviktimisierung.
