Zusammenfassung

Posttraumatische Belastungsstörungen sind über lange Zeit nicht spezifisch erkannt und wirksamen Therapieformen zugeführt worden. Erst seit den letzten Jahrzehnten entwickelte sich eine breite Wissensbasis über wirksame Therapieansätze. In diesem Kapitel werden klinische und systematische Gesichtspunkte zu den wichtigsten psychotherapeutischen Interventionen dargelegt, auch im Hinblick auf eine sprachliche und kulturelle Anpassung für Patienten anderer Länder und Kulturen. Es schließt sich eine Zusammenfassung zur empirischen Wirksamkeitsforschung an; abschließend erfolgt ein kurzer Ausblick auf nichttherapeutische Interventionen. Das Kapitel soll Praktikern eine Orientierung dafür geben, welche Therapieformen für welche Patienten geeignet sind.
