Zusammenfassung

Plastisch-chirurgische Maßnahmen streben häufig eine Optimierung der Form und/oder eine Verbesserung/Wiederherstellung eingeschränkter Funktionen an. In der rekonstruktiven Chirurgie des Larynx liegt der Fokus ganz eindeutig auf der Wiederherstellung der wichtigsten Funktionen des Kehlkopfes: Trennung von Atem- und Nahrungswegen beim Schluckakt, Stimmbildung und Gewährleistung eines stabilen oberen Atemwegs. Dementsprechend werden die unterschiedlichen Techniken der rekonstruktiven Larynx-Chirurgie gemäß der jeweils angestrebten funktionellen Rehabilitation geordnet und abgehandelt. Weil die Funktion des Kehlkopfes von einer intakten Nervenversorgung abhängt, werden dabei auch neurofunktionelle Verfahren mitdiskutiert.
