Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklungspsychopathologie ist ein interdisziplinärer Ansatz, der unauffälliges und abweichendes Verhalten als ein Resultat eines dynamischen Wechselspiels von Risikofaktoren und Ressourcen im Entwicklungsverlauf versteht. Durch die Betrachtung von Entwicklungsverläufen über die gesamte Lebensspanne können Beginn und Verlauf psychischer Störungen, ihre gleichbleibenden oder wechselnden Erscheinungsformen, ihre Vorboten, Begleit- und Folgeerscheinungen bestimmt werden. Die abgeleiteten Entwicklungsmodelle integrieren komplexe biopsychosoziale Faktoren. In diesem Kapitel werden Besonderheiten und wichtige Grundbegriffe der Entwicklungspsychopathologie (z. B. Risikofaktoren, Resilienz) ausführlich erläutert und an Beispielen illustriert. Ergebnisse der entwicklungspsychopathologischen Forschung werden exemplarisch für Angststörungen und ADHS vorgestellt. Dadurch soll aufgezeigt werden, wie Ergebnisse der Entwicklungspsychopathologie zu einem besseren Verständnis von Entstehung, Ursachen und Verlauf psychischer Störungen beitragen und Hinweise für die klinische Praxis liefern können.
