Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel geht es um Motivation, die nicht von außen gesteuert und als mühsam erlebt wird, sondern von innen, begleitet durch ein freudvolles und leichtgängiges Ausführen einer Tätigkeit. Zunächst werden intrinsische und extrinsische Motivation voneinander abgegrenzt. Anschließend werden einflussreiche Theorien intrinsischer Motivation (Selbstbestimmungstheorie, hierarchisches Modell intrinsischer Motivation, Modell der Tätigkeits- und Zweckanreize, Leistungszieltheorie und Theorie des Flow-Erlebens) erläutert. Die Lesenden erfahren dann, wie intrinsische Motivation gemessen werden kann. Mit der theoretischen Beschreibung und Messung werden die Grundbausteine für die Veränderung intrinsischer Motivation gelegt. Mit einem Absatz über die Förderung intrinsischer Motivation endet das Kapitel.
