Zusammenfassung
Unser Leben wird zum Großteil durch Arbeit bestimmt – ob wir es wollen oder nicht. Ob wir es wollen, hängt wesentlich davon ab, wie die Arbeit gestaltet wird, wie belastend sie ist, wie sinnvoll sie uns erscheint und was wir davon haben. Damit ist nicht nur die finanzielle Entschädigung gemeint, sondern auch soziale Eingebundenheit, Motivation für die Arbeit und Zufriedenheit damit. Es liegt auf der Hand, dass diese Aspekte aus einer psychologischen Warte analysiert werden müssen. Das gilt auch für die Gruppenarbeit: diese wird häufig als Königsweg der Arbeitsgestaltung aufgefasst – nicht immer zu Recht. Auch Arbeitssicherheit ist ein psychologisches Thema, denn die Gründe für Sicherheitsrisiken bei der Arbeit sind oft nicht technischer, sondern menschlicher Natur. Im Kontext von Arbeit befassen wir uns außerdem mit der Frage, wodurch sich das vielgepriesene Unternehmertum auszeichnet und wie sich Arbeitstätige in Zeiten divergenter Anforderungen selber managen können.
