Zusammenfassung
Im vorliegenden Kapitel werden alle heute gängigen Verfahren zum Neuromonitoring in der Anästhesiologie beschrieben: Überwachung des »Narkose-EEG« inkl. der aktuellen Datenlage zu Awareness, weiterhin NIRS, evozierte Potenziale mit SSEP und MEP u.v.a.m. Dabei werden die physiologischen Grundlagen sehr gut verständlich erklärt, die Veränderungen je nach Anästhesietechnik, Operation und Krankheitsbild dargestellt und ganz konkrete praktische Hinweise gegeben, wie genau Neuromonitoring im anästhesiologischen Alltag eingesetzt werden kann.

Während BIS und Narcotrend als »Stand-alone-Monitore« und – je nach Hersteller – teilweise auch als Modul eines Monitoringsystems verwendet werden können, wird das Entropie-Verfahren nur als Modul für GE-Monitore (»Entropy«) angeboten.
