Zusammenfassung
Volumenersatzlösungen werden seit vielen Jahrzehnten mit sehr guten Erfahrungen und Resultaten eingesetzt. Für eine möglichst zielgerichtete Therapie ist es wichtig, zwischen Flüssigkeitsverlusten ohne kolloidosmotisch wirksame Moleküle (wie Urin und Perspiratio) und Volumenverlusten, also Flüssigkeit mit onkotisch wirksamen Makromolekülen (Blutverluste oder Plasmaverluste aus dem Intravasalraum) zu unterscheiden. Diese unterschiedlichen Entitäten sollten durch einen entsprechend differenzierten Einsatz von Infusionslösungen – also Kristalloiden und Kolloiden – therapiert werden.
