Zusammenfassung

Die Entwicklung der weiblichen Brust in der Pubertät ist die sog. Thelarche. Sie basiert auf dem Einfluss der weiblichen Sexualhormone und durchläuft fünf typische Stadien innerhalb von ungefähr vier Jahren. Entwicklung und Anatomie der weiblichen Brust, die Anatomie der Axilla und die Beeinflussung der Brustdrüse durch Hormone wie auch die Anatomie und Physiologie der männlichen Brust sind dargestellt.
