Abstract

Groin pain syndrome may affect all types of athletes, especially soccer players. Many diseases with different etiologies may cause groin pain. In this chapter the authors offer a synthesis of the results of the first Italian Groin Pain Syndrome Consensus Conference organized by the Italian Society of Arthroscopy in Milan, on February 5, 2016. Furthermore, into the chapter are discussed some other important aspects of groin pain syndrome, like the complication of inguinal hernia surgical repair, the association between inguinal hernia and adductor tendinopathy and the problematic of hernia and cam-FAI double surgical intervention.
