Zusammenfassung
Die Dopplersonographie ist eine sonographische Überwachungsmethode, die einen fixen Stellenwert nicht nur in der Betreuung von Risikoschwangerschaften sondern mittlerweile auch im Screening für Schwangerschaftskomplikationen und fetale Anomalien erlangt hat. Die typischen Indikationen sind die fetale Wachstumsrestriktion und die Praeeklampsie, aber auch bei Zwillingsschwangerschaften, fetaler Anämie oder Fehlbildungen, hier vor allem Herzerkrankungen, ist diese Methode ein wesentlicher Faktor für die zeitgemäße Betreuung. Daher ist die Kenntnis der diesbezüglichen Grundlagen und die Anwendung der Blutflussmessung Voraussetzung für ein adäquates Vorgehen in der fetomaternalen Medizin. Dieses Kapitel gibt dazu einen aktuellen praxisnahen Überblick.
