Zusammenfassung
Da in der komplexen Reaktionsfolge der Photosynthese nicht nur CO2 fixiert und reduziert, sondern äquimolar in der Photolyse aus Wasser Sauerstoff freigesetzt wird, gab und gibt es viele Versuche und Methoden, die O2-Entwicklung zu messen. Da aber diese Messung aus verschiedenen Gründen problembehaftet ist, wird die Analyse des Sauerstoffgaswechsels primär für spezielle Fragestellungen genutzt. Als weiterer Ansatz zur Erfassung und Bewertung des pflanzlichen Gaswechsels soll hier näher auf die Analyse stabiler Isotope eingegangen werden. Um die Möglichkeiten dieser Analyse ermessen zu können, muss geklärt werden, was stabile Isotope auszeichnet. Dies ist auch zum Verständnis der entsprechenden Methodik und des Bezugs zu Gaswechselmessungen erforderlich.
